Specialties: Alamo Cafe has been a San Antonio staple for Tex-Mex for over 30 years. We've been voted the best flour tortillas in San Antonio for almost a decade, and city's best queso by 'Best Of San Antonio.' And don't forget about our famous made from scratch chicken fried steak! Established in 1981. Owners Pat and Tom opened their first Alamo Cafe in 1981 off of San Pedro and their second in 1986 off I-10. The original location on San Pedro was open until 1996 and was then moved to the current location on 281.
