Our story begins in 1982- back before Devon Street, aka "LittleIndia," had taken root and become one of America's most celebrated ethnic neighborhoods. We wanted to create a vegetarian restaurant that not only had excellent food, but brought vegetarian cooking to the masses. Fast forward 33 years later-- Annapurna is Chicago's oldest and most well-known vegetarian restaurants.
