Everest on Grand is the first Nepali-American immigrant family business in Minnesota with members of the family pitching in for various aspects of restaurant management. The family takes pride in having learned the business from scratch, growing, and contributing to the local economy. Everest on Grand employs 15 full-time and part time employees. Employees receive unemployment insurance, worker's compensation, and health insurance. Over the past fourteen years, the restaurant has generated more than 600K in sales and paid over 60 thousand dollars in state sales and federal government payroll taxes annually. The restaurant generously supports fund-raising efforts of local community organizations such as schools, churches and other non-profits.
