Specialties: Jake's and Cooper's specializes in upscale American cuisine. We are known for our consistency and our service as we have been a staple in Manayunk for over 32 years. Dishes we are most known for include sautéed crab cakes, brick-oven pizzas, grilled steak, shrimp verde, caramelized salmon, calves liver, mussels, tuna tartare, salads, cheeses and house made desserts. There are over 30 wines by the glass as well as an impressive wine by the bottle list that is the lowest mark-up in the city. There are 2 draft wines, 12 draft beers and a seasonal cocktail list. Although the menu is the same, we have a quiet dining room as well as a lively bar side to choose from. Weather permitting, we have a beautiful outside seating area. Established in 1987. 32 years of service in Manayunk, a borough of Philadelphia. Celebrated Owner/Chef Bruce Cooper as been the sole owner for the entire time. The first restaurant in Philadelphia to receive a 3 bell review by the Philadelphia Inquirer restaurant critic Craig LeBan. Reviewed again in October 2018 to be named BEST restaurant in Manayunk with an excellent wines by the glass list.
