From Austria to West Texas, Alois Munzer made Midland his home and with the support of investors founded La Bodega in 1972. For 40 years, Alois served the best Mexican food in West Texas. Alois passed away on Oct 24, 2010. He was a great boss and friend to us all. After working for the company for nearly 20 years, Aracely Loya took over ownership of the Odessa location in March of 2015. La Bodega Mexican Restaurant has not thrived solely on our delicious cuisine or festive atmosphere, it's our family of good people. Many of us have been with the company for over a decade. Each of us takes pride in providing each guest with an exceptional experience by endeavoring to live up to the sign you'll find in the back of the house: La Bodega practices the Golden Rule. We will always work to treat our guests as we would want to be treated.
