Specialties: Family owned and operated since day one, Lucky Star Cafe was made from the hard work of a team of brothers who wanted to bring the Lawndale community a fast, casual spot to get great food. What started as a simple hamburger joint in 1978 by their father, has since flourished into a go-to for both classic American eats and favorites from our Mexican grill. We believe fresh flavor is key, and we use only high-quality ingredients to create meals that satisfy every palate. Stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Our main focus is putting a smile on your face with each bite, and we can't wait to show you how we do just that. Established in 1978. Our grandfather was a pastry chef in Greece and a pastor in his spare time. His son grew up around his perfectly-baked pastries all his life, so it's no surprise when he moved the U.S. he became involved with a restaurant. Then, the son decided to build Lucky Star Cafe, and after years of working in the business, he passed it down to his two sons (the current owners). Since opening our doors, we've been focused on providing delicious food for people of all ages using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
