Specialties: Mirador isinspired by the tabancos, or taverns, of Andalucía in Southern Spain. Tabancos, like English pubs and Americantaverns, are friendly, lively gathering places for people of all ages to enjoy food, drinks and culture. The food features small plates (tapas), using Spanish and local Hudson Valley ingredients in delicious combinations. The menu is inspired by the flavors of Andalucía, which is often overlooked in the US Spanish tapas scene. Mirador specializes in regional wines from Andalucía, including one of their most famous wines — sherry — but also serves a curated selection of the best wines from all parts of Spain. Also on offer are a world-class selection of vermouths and craft cocktails. Owners Nick Africano and Harry McNamara aim to bring an exciting new dining option to Midtown Kingston,where the local community and visitors can enjoy a taste of Spanish cuisine right in the Hudson Valley. The interior features a beautiful, curving cherry wood bar and countertop and bespoke lighting and art. The golden-yellow banquette and plaster arches echo the architecture of the sherry bodegas of Andalucía, and the open kitchen lends a bustling energy to the room. Bright and airy in the day, the environment is romantic and intimate at night. Established in 2023. Mirador was born of a love for Spanish cuisine and wine, and of opportunity. The location became available in early 2023, and had been a well loved restaurant before we had the chance to take over. We are so happy to bring a place to eat, drink, and gather to Midtown Kingston. We look forward to hosting you.
