Specialties: We created Paratta due to the absence of South Asian places proudly using high-end and premium ingredients in Southern California. We couldn't find any presentable place proudly representing our culture, history and food, and absolutely no one was showcasing desi street food as it deserved. Paratta makes everything in-house. Our lachha parathas are made daily by hand, with our own chefs using our own home-grown recipe. And unlike the parathas we grew up with, we knew parathas didn't need to be greasy and heavy. We designed our parathas to not make you feel gross and found the right balance between taste and texture without the grease. Very few South Asian eateries in America are using premium ingredients like Paratta -- not a single place serves wagyu beef. We're the first and only desi place to proudly serve 100% grass-fed, organic wagyu beef, and you can taste the difference. Our goal has always been to serve authentic South Asian street food using high-end and premium ingredients, including 101% certified halal meat. You would typically find these ingredients in a restaurant, and we're doing it in a food truck. We're trying to evolve desi cuisine. The struggle has been to change the way people look at South Asian food -- limited to just curry, naan, poor ingredients and holes in the wall. Instead, we're choosing to elevate the cuisine for those who know and love it, and more importantly to introduce a completely different side of the cuisine for those who are new to it.
