Specialties: At TAVA we use traditional recipes that have been handed down through generations with a warm modern twist. All of our ingredients are carefully handpicked from various parts of India to bring our customers an authentic experience. We emphasize naturally raised and grown ingredients and our food is never frozen. Dishes are always freshly cooked to order, using only the freshest ingredients and heart-healthy oil (extra-virgin olive and canola). The menu offers a large selection of mouthwatering chicken, lamb, seafood, vegetarian, vegan and organic dishes. Gluten free options are available as well. TAVA is a contemporary Indian restaurant that offers a warm setting where you can bring a date, your family, or a group of coworkers to enjoy the best and most creative Indian food in the Chicagoland area. Our full bar offers wide selections of fine wines and unique cocktails, including organic selections. Established in 2011. After living in Morton Grove for over a decade, Sharma decided to open TAVA here to give something back to the community, which he said was lacking in both authentic Indian cuisine and fine dining establishments. Located at 7172 Dempster St. in Morton Grove, the restaurant offers traditional Indian dishes such as samosas, tandoori chicken, lamb curry and naan. The menu also has some novel offerings like the Chilean sea bass nirvana, which is cooked with coconut, tomato cream sauce, ginger and garlic. None of the ingredients are ever frozen, and the restaurant uses all heart-healthy cooking oils. There's also a special menu of entirely organic versions of dishes including chicken curry and roti.
