Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be authorized to teach BLS certification courses. The training focuses on developing the necessary skills to instruct professional rescuers on recognizing and responding effectively to cardiac and breathing emergencies. Once this course is completed instructors become aligned with a training center in order to teach.
Prerequisites & Requirements
Base-Level Certification:
All participants must already hold a current American Red Cross BLS certification or equivalent base-level certification before attending the in-person class.
Online Portion:
Participants must successfully complete the mandatory online orientation and coursework provided by the American Red Cross prior to the start of the scheduled in-person session.
Skill Proficiency:
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in all BLS skills and meet the required standard set by the American Red Cross.
