Ancient Vino - Italian and Greek wine from Antiquity

Join us for an intimate, educational and fun tasting experience featuring four different grape varieties used in making wine today and thousands of years ago in Ancient Greece and Rome. We will be sipping and talking about 4 wines, two reds and two whites each from Italy and Greece. The Italian grape varieties guests will enjoy were originally brought by the Greeks to the south of the Italian peninsula prior to the Roman empire when it was a Greek colony over 2,500 years ago. We will have a table of both Greek and Italian appetizers to have alongside the wines. The venue is in the garden of a private, authentic mid-century modern home in the historic San Rafael neighborhood of Pasadena.
