Brazilian Night w/ 'Massaranduba' in the Garden!

Colony Woodstock Presents: Brazilian Night w/ Massaranduba in the Garden! Join us for an evening of Brazilian music on our outdoor main stage! Led by Felipe Hostins and Gil Oliveira, Massaranduba presents a brazilian style of music called Forró, from the northeast of Brazil, and explores the crossroads between other Brazilian universes. From Santa Catarina, Felipe Hostins first learned rhythms typical in southern Brazil; such as sertanejo de raiz, chamamé, and others from the gaucho tradition. He has been thrilling audiences for over a decade and is known for his stellar musicianship as well as having “an entire orchestra in his accordion.” Gil Oliveira grew up surrounded by Samba in his hometown, Rio de Janeiro; and has also partaken in the Brazilian Carnival in Salvador, Bahia for mo
