Mural Unveiling

At Texas Lutheran University, the Center for Mexican American Studies has partnered with the Art Department to complete a mural on the wall of the Scheuch Fine Arts Building. The mural is a semester long project that is hosting local artist/muralist Danielle Villareal. The mural will serve as a visual metaphor showing the cultural bridge between the TLU community and the city of Seguin. The mural will serve as a gathering space for the TLU community, students, faculty, and staff. The mural with incorporate the history of the Mexican American community in Seguin and at TLU. It will be the first permanent art installation on TLU campus that represents the Mexican American community of TLU in the 130 plus years that TLU has existed.
