United Tribes - Attila the Hun was the ruler of the Huns from 434 until his death in March 453. He was one of the most feared enemies of the Western and Eastern Roman Empires. He invaded the Balkans twice and marched through Gaul (modern France) as far as Orléans before being defeated at the Battle of Châlons. He refrained from attacking either Constantinople or Rome. His death in 453, possibly from internal bleeding due to excessive drinking, ended the Hunnic Empire. His name has become synonymous with savagery and barbarism, though many parts of his life are shrouded in mystery.
