United Tribes - This caught my attention. We’ve been thinking about semaglutide mainly as a weight-loss and metabolic drug. But a new study in older mice raises a much more interesting possibility. The mice lived about 12% longer. More importantly, researchers saw changes in inflammation, mitochondrial function, cellular aging, metabolism, and even cognitive function. Of course, mice are not humans, and this does not mean semaglutide has been shown to extend human life. But it makes me wonder: What if GLP-1 drugs are doing more than helping us lose weight? What if they are affecting some of the biology that makes us age in the first place? For me, that’s the fascinating part. The goal shouldn’t simply be to weigh less. It should be to live longer and stay strong, metabolically healthy, cognitively sharp, and functional while doing it. We’re not there yet. But this is a study worth paying attention to. #Longevity #Semaglutide #GLP1 #Healthspan #HealthyAging
